Emergency Line Repair Affecting Zones 2 and 8 – 9/11/2024
Starting tonight (9/11/2024), we will begin an emergency repair on a major supply line that serves Zones 2 and 8. We are asking members in these zones to begin conserving water immediately. While the repair is underway, it is important that we keep the storage tanks full to prevent a potential outage. The repair is expected to be completed within 24 hours. We will be providing status updates here as well as on our website.
If an outage occurs, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will require Aqua WSC to issue a Boil Water Notice as a precautionary measure. If this happens, we will let you know: You will receive a phone call or text message at the number we have on file for your account, as well as updates on our website and social media pages.
Unfortunately, this repair is necessary because a contractor unaffiliated with Aqua WSC hit and damaged our line. Please keep our Aqua WSC staff in mind as they will be working nonstop through the night until the job is done!
Here are some ways you can conserve water while the repair is ongoing:
- Stop or limit outdoor water use.
- Choose a short (5-minute) shower instead of a bath.
- Turn off water when brushing teeth or shaving.
- Limit dishwasher and washing machine use.
Thank you for your conservation efforts, as well as your attention to this important notice.
